Michael E. Nickerson, DNP

Michael E. Nickerson, DNP, APRN is an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse.  Mike has more than 26 years of experience as a Registered Nurse and has more than 16 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner.

Mike received his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Southern Maine in Portland and his Master of Science in Nursing from the University of New Hampshire in Durham.  In 2011 he completed his Doctor of Nursing Practice from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH.

Mike maintains numerous professional affiliations including the Emergency Nurses Association, AHA Northeast Region Emergency Cardiac Care Committee, North Eastern Organization of Nurse Educators, and National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians among many other organizations.

Mike is trained to care for and treat all non-operative injuries and conditions.  He is a Certified ImPACT Concussion Consultant and plays an active role in the concussion program at Access Sports Medicine & Orthopaedics.  In addition to patient care Mike has been overseeing the expansion of new services at Access Sports Medicine and assists with the work-injury management at Access Occupational Medicine.
