logo1.pngNewmarket, NH – Spring has arrived on the Seacoast and with it comes the start of community events.  As a business leader in the communities that we serve, the physicians and staff of Access Sports Medicine & Orthopaedics understand the importance of giving back and supporting local community groups and organizations.

On Friday April 24th, Access Sports Medicine & Orthopaedics is participating in the Third Annual Newmarket Wellness Day. The event will take place at the Newmarket Junior/Senior High School from 8:30am until 11:00 am. Lauren Tarpey, ATC and Mikaela Harding, ATC from Access Sports Medicine & Orthopaedics have volunteered their time and expertise to demonstrate dynamic stretching to students and staff. The day will begin with a motivational speaker and afterwards, students and staff break out into 30 minute sessions with topics ranging from exercise, nutrition and Reiki therapy.

Lauren Tarpey, ATC is the Head Athletic Trainer for Portsmouth High School. She is a National Athletic Training Association Board of Certification Inc. Certified Athletic Trainer and is both CPR and First Aid certified by the American Red Cross. She specializes in injury management fitness and strength and -conditioning.

Mikaela Harding, ATC is the Head Athletic Trainer for Winnacunnet High School in Hampton. She is experienced in concussion evaluation and assessment and in the administration of baseline and post-injury ImPACT testing.
