Dr. Matthew QuitkinPortsmouth, NH – Access Sports Medicine & Orthopaedics would like to announce that Dr. Matthew Quitkin has been chosen as a Top Doctor in Hand Surgery by Castle Connolly Medical Ltd.  Dr. Quitkin is a Board-Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon who is Fellowship-Trained in Hand Surgery.  He specializes in the surgical and non-surgical treatment of diseases and conditions of the Hand and Upper Extremity.

Quitkin joined Access Sports Medicine & Orthopaedics in 2009 and during his time living and working on the Seacoast he has helped develop one of the most comprehensive Orthopaedic Hand Centers in New England.  “I’ve always been fascinated by the complexities in the anatomy of the hand and wrist.  When a patient comes to me with pain or an injury, I welcome the challenge of identifying the cause of the problem and fixing it,” says Quitkin.  He added, “Most of us rely on the functional use of our hands and fingers for our livelihood, daily activities or for recreation.  I feel fortunate to have had the opportunity to be able to protect and restore that for so many patients on the Seacoast over the past five years.”

Castle ConnollyDr. Quitkin graduated Magna Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa, Sigma Xi from Princeton University and earned his Medical Degree at Yale University School of Medicine.  He completed his Residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at George Washington University and his Fellowship in Hand and Microvascular Surgery at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center in New York City.  Dr. Quitkin’s clinical expertise includes trauma, congenital abnormalities, arthritis, tumors, arthroscopy and reconstructive surgery of the hand and upper extremity.
