Dr. BrucKnee Arthritis e Gomberg, of Access Sports Medicine & Orthopaedics will present a free lecture at Portsmouth Regional Hospital Tuesday, May 24th at 7pm.  Dr. Gomberg’s Avoid Total Knee Replacement lecture will discuss early intervention surgery for arthritis of the knee.

“Not everyone who has pain from knee arthritis needs a full knee replacement. This talk will focus on newer techniques of early intervention knee arthritis surgery that lead to faster recovery, more natural feel, and better function.” Says Dr. Gomberg.

Partial knee implants have been shown to perform better with minimal invasive techniques and much shorter post-operative rehab.  Dr. Gomberg specializes in this type of knee reconstruction and has been a leader in partial knee replacements since beginning his practice in 2001.

Dr. Gomberg performed the first custom knee replacement in New Hampshire at Portsmouth Regional Hospital earlier this year.  He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons and specializes in joint replacement of the knee and hip, knee arthroscopy, and fracture care.  He is also the Director of the prestigious Maine Orthopaedic Review.
