Exeter, NH – The Physicians of Access Sports Medicine & Orthopaedics are pleased to announce the addition of Kevin D. Heaton, DO to their practice. Dr. Heaton graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of New Hampshire. He received his Doctorate from the University of New England, College of Osteopathic Medicine in Biddeford, ME.
Dr. Heaton completed both his residency in Family Medicine and his fellowship in Sports Medicine at Boston Medical Center in Boston, MA. During his fellowship training, Dr. Heaton was Team Physician for Boston University, MIT, and Cambridge Rindge and Latin High Schools. His professional affiliations include the American Osteopathic Association, American Academy of Family Physicians, American Medical Association, and American Medical Society for Sport Medicine.
Dr. Heaton specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of all non-operative sports injuries. He brings with him experience in and training in musculoskeletal ultrasound diagnosis and injection, platelet-rich plasma therapy, concussion management utilizing ImPACT neurocognitive testing and osteopathic manipulation. Dr. Heaton has experience in treating Division I Collegiate and High School level athletes and will oversee the Athletic Training program at Access Sports Medicine & Orthopaedics.
