Benjamin Thompson, MDDover, NH – Each year, nearly 3.5 million children under the age of 14 are treated for a sports related injury, with overuse injuries accounting for nearly half of these cases. Frequent or untreated injuries as a child may predispose to future injury and potentially arthritis as an adult. Education and awareness are key to fighting the epidemic of youth sports injuries.

Join Dr. Benjamin Thompson on Monday July 13th at 7:00pm at our Dover location at 19 Webb Place, Dover, NH for our free education series. Dr. Thompson will discuss common causes of youth sports injuries, prevention strategies, and potential treatment options. Dr. Thompson is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon with sub-specialty training in arthroscopic surgery and the treatment of sports-related injuries. He specializes in the non-operative and operative care of shoulder, elbow, knee and ankle injuries including surgical repair for shoulder instability, and ACL tears.

Attendees will enjoy complimentary refreshments and have the opportunity to participate in a question and answer session.

Athletic Trainers wishing to attend the talk and receive NATA BOC CEUs for attendance should expect a $25 fee which should be paid in check form.
