Access Sports Medicine & Orthopaedics is proud to once again support the Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Greater Seacoast’s Bowl for Kid’s Sake fundraising event.  The event will take place on Thursday, May 3rd and Saturday, May 5th at Bowl-a-Rama in Portsmouth.  Access Sports Medicine will be participating in the event on Thursday, May 3rd.  Please consider making a donation to Team Access and support this very worthy cause and organization.

The theme of this year’s event is Support the Military!  We’re asking folks to bring packages of new socks and/or coffee to send to our troops overseas.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Greater Seacoast matches children ages 6 through 18 with mentors in professionally supported one-to-one relationships.

Matches come together through:

Community-Based Mentoring: For as little as an hour a week, Bigs and Littles meet in their community to share fun activities, stories, and a little bit of themselves.

School-Based Mentoring: Bigs and Littles meet once a week in schools, libraries and community centers to talk and have fun.  It’s not about being a tutor…it’s about being a friend.

Mentoring Children of Prisoners (MCOP): The objective of this program is to create quality, lasting one-to-one relationships that provide children of offenders with caring role models for future success. Mentors provide opportunities for youth to gain new skills and interests and expand their experiences beyond their families, schools, and neighborhoods by acting as a trusted friend.
