Access Sports Medicine Physicians Earn 2018 Top Doctor Awards from Castle Connolly

Access Sports Medicine & Orthopaedics is proud to announce that Joshua A. Siegel, MDH. Matthew Quitkin, MD, MBA and A. David Davis, MD are all recipients of the Castle Connolly Top Doctors Award for 2018.

In order to receive a Castle Connolly Award, doctors must first be nominated by a licensed physician, MD or DO for outstanding service in their medical specialties. Nominees then undergo an extensive review process from Castle Connolly’s physician-led research team. During this process, nominees are evaluated on a multitude of factors, including scrutiny of medical education, board certifications, hospital appointments and disciplinary history. Castle Connolly then publishes its list of Top Doctors on its website, as well as in a number of print directories, partner publications and partner/affiliate sites.

“These awards are a testimony not only to the abilities of our doctors, but to the entire Access Sports Medicine team’s dedication to providing quality care,” Dr. Siegel said. “I fully intend to continue to provide my patients with the comprehensive, state-of-the-art treatment they’ve come to expect.”

This is Dr. Siegel’s seventh consecutive year earning this distinction. In addition to serving as Director of Sports Medicine for Access Sports Medicine, Dr. Siegel is a US Olympic Committee team physician, a US ski team physician and covers USGA and PGA events. He is the team physician for many local area high schools, including Phillips Exeter Academy. He specializes in treating sports medicine injuries and focuses on arthroscopic and minimally invasive procedures of the knee and shoulder.

Dr. Quitkin, Co-Director of the Hand Center at Access Sports Medicine and a past recipient of the Castle Connolly Award, specializes in both pediatric and adult upper extremity and hand surgery and has expertise in trauma, congenital abnormalities, nerve, tendon and ligament disorders, arthritis, tumors, arthroscopy and reconstructive surgery. Dr. Quitkin is an active member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand and the Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.

Dr. Davis, a past recipient of the Castle Connolly award, specializes in the care of sports-related injuries, with particular focus on injuries of the shoulder, hip and knee. He also specializes in hip preservative using the latest techniques in hip arthroscopic surgery. Dr. Davis is currently a team physician for several New Hampshire Seacoast high schools and has been published in both Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Basic Science. His most recent publication, detailing the anatomy of the ACL femoral footprint, can be found in the Journal of Arthroscopy.
