Exeter, NH – Access Sports Medicine & Orthopaedics would like to remind Southern New Hampshire coaches, parents and athletes that we are hosting four sports physical pre-participation exam clinics this year.  Our clinics will be held on Tuesday, July 31st from 5-7pm at 13 Plaistow Rd in Plaistow, Thursday, August 2nd from 5-7pm at 155 Borthwick Ave in Portsmouth, Monday, August 6th from 5-7pm at One Hampton Road in Exeter and Wednesday, August 8th from 5-7pm at 6 Freetown Rd in Raymond.

All middle and high school students are required to have a pre-participation physical exam before competing in fall sports.  According to the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine’s STOP Sports Injury Campaign, a pre-participation sports physical exam is a necessary first-step toward sports injury prevention in youth athletes. Access Sports Medicine and Orthopaedics offers the sports physicals to area students of all grade levels.  The cost of the exam is $5.00 and it will be returned as a donation to many area school’s athletic programs.  No appointments are necessary and athletes will be seen on a walk-in basis.  It is important to note that this physical exam should not replace an annual physical or check-up with a pediatrician or primary care physician.
