Knee InjuryPlaistow, NH – Across the country, youth athletes are now transitioning from the fall to winter sports season.  For many of these athletes, the fall season was preceded by preseason camps, sports summer camps and spring recreation leagues.  It has become a reality for most young people participating sports that a year-round focus on one sport is required in order to be competitive and to earn spot on the team.

But with the increased expectation and pressure, comes a greater likelihood of injury.  Over the past several years, physicians are seeing more athletes and at a younger age with major knee injuries.  ACL tears and other serious knee injuries have become more frequent in young athletes resulting in missed time from sports and a lengthy recovery.

Join Access Sports Medicine & Orthopaedics on Thursday, November 15th at 6:30pm at 13 Plaistow Road, Plaistow, NH to learn more about the cause of knee injuries, the surgical and non-surgical treatment of knee injuries and find out what can be done to prevent them.  Dr. Kevin Heaton will talk about the cause of knee injuries and different types of common sports-related knee injuries and Dr. David Davis will talk about the treatment options and what can be expected during the recovery process.

Please RSVP for this FREE event as space is limited by calling (603)382-1559 or email events@accesssportsmed.com.  Parents, coaches and athletes are all encouraged to attend.  Light refreshments will be available and attendees will be entered to win raffle prizes.
