Portsmouth, NH – This Saturday, June 9th is the 35th Annual Market Square Day Festival in downtown Portsmouth. Market Square Day is one of the Seacoast’s most highly anticipated and largest celebrations and features hundreds of vendors, live music, great food and the opportunity to enjoy everything that Portsmouth has to offer.
Each year, the day kicks off with the 10K Road Race which winds its way through downtown Portsmouth and finishes at historic Strawbery Banke. Access Sports Medicine & Orthopaedics is the Title Sponsor of the 10K Road Race for the eighth consecutive year and we would like to wish all of the runners good running weather and a great race.
Following the race, patrons will have the opportunity to visit the vendors and shops throughout downtown Portsmouth, sample food from dozens of local restaurants and listen to live music by some of the Seacoast’s most talented musicians. Be sure to visit the Access Sports Medicine & Orthopaedics booth in the heart of Market Square for great giveaways and to meet our physicians and staff.
Market Square Day was created in 1978 to celebrate the renovation and beautification of Downtown Portsmouth and, in particular, Market Square, the Festival has grown in size along with the growth and popularity of Portsmouth. It is estimated that between 60,000 – 80,000 people walk through Downtown Portsmouth on that one day enjoying the entertainment, products and food offered by artists, cratfters and merchants – many from the Seacoast area.
Access Sports Medicine & Orthopaedics understands how important it is to get involved with and give back to the local community. The Market Square Day 10K Road Race is one of the many community events that Access helps to support each year.
